| ZiLOG(R) Wins EEPW 2006 Innovation Award for China Embedded System Products |
SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ZiLOG(R), Inc. (Nasdaq: ZILG), a leading provider of Flash microcontrollers, universal remote control and ARM-based solutions, announced today that its motor control family of Flash MCUs has been named a winner in the Electronics Engineering and Product World (EEPW) 2006 Innovation Awards for China Embedded System Products. This award is part of EEPW's 2006 Embedded System Series Editor's Choice Awards. The award is the third accolade for the Z8 Encore! Motor Control (MC) family, which also won Control Engineering magazine's Editors' Choice Award for 2005 and was named one of EE Times' "Ultimate Products" for the third quarter of 2005. ZiLOG also won EEPW's Innovation award in 2004 for its Z8 Encore! XP(R) product family.
